Safari to Africa

Are you interested in joining me on a wildlife photography trip?

I have been a wildlife conservation photographer for the last 15 years. As a qualified naturalist and ecologist, I have used my knowledge of animal behavior to approach wildlife safely and respectfully. I have traveled to many countries to photograph endangered species listed on the IUCN Red List. Still, my all-time favorite destinations are African countries, where people continue to live in harmony with nature—a rarity in today’s world.

I have explored many locations in Africa, often organizing private, self-planned safaris. Through these experiences, I have found the best drivers—those with knowledge of photography—hiring them for extended safaris and assessing their skills in tracking animals, positioning the vehicle for optimal views, and ensuring the best light for stunning photos in any condition.

At the end of 2023, I planned a safari photography trip to Tanzania and Kenya with two professional photographers. We chose two companies, one from each country. We had knowledge of both of them, and over a year of planning with them, we learned a lot about their responses and the effort they put into providing the best quality and deal to get the most out of our photography safari.

We work with the best guide and driver in Africa—dynamic, joyful, patient, and deeply passionate about wildlife. He approaches every creature with respect and shares his extensive knowledge of animal behavior, helping us find our favorite species and capture unforgettable images.

I am offering to lead a photography safari expedition to Tanzania for a group of up to 4 individuals eager to learn about photographing African wildlife and to have the best safari experience of their lives. I am also flexible with the time participants choose.

What to expect?

  1. I am limiting the group to four participants so I can give each person the attention they need and help them get the best shots in every situation. Each participant will have a dedicated row in the safari vehicle, allowing them to move freely between windows or shoot from the roof without crowding others.

  2. We will stay at bush camp lodges—wonderful places where you can spend the night immersed in nature and surrounded by wildlife. The local hosts pay close attention to every detail, ensuring everyone is comfortable and happy, and that everyone leaves with unforgettable memories. The meals are excellent, with accommodations for restricted diets. Every bush camp I have tried has been clean, comfortable, and secure.

  3. We will have the flexibility to photograph from sunrise to sunset, making the most of the blue and golden hours for stunning light.

  4. Don’t have a camera? Don’t worry—your phone can capture excellent photos and videos. If you prefer, you can rent a camera body and lenses, and I can help you secure a good deal through my photo dealer.

  5. I shoot Nikon, but I can also help you even if you use Canon, Sony, or other brands. Taking a good shot is all about technique, not the gear.

If you think that interests you or need more information, please let me know. We can discuss the date, price, and duration of the safari based on your schedule and budget.
